Advocacy Director – (she/her)

I am a first-generation Honduran-American. Being the first of my family not born on our ancestral land created a divide in me, but the disparity in resources between our home here and 2,000 miles away split me even more. It wasn’t until college that I learned what environmental racism is, a term that helped me address the grief I had carried throughout my life. Only after understanding this problem could I recognize how it affects those I love, both near and far— and just how many others experience this too. I quickly realized that caring for our Earth was a sure-proof way to help everyone, regardless of age, religion, race, income, or ethnicity. My faith empowers me with the conviction that intersectional social justice is essential for healing individuals, our community, our nation, and our world.
With five years of trilingual community engagement experience in environmental justice communities of the Commonwealth, it has become my mission to understand the motivations and barriers that influence people’s ability to care for our Planet. My career goal is to bridge the gap between environmental sustainability and the lived realities of working-class communities. As the Director of Advocacy at Boston Climate Action Network, I look forward to fulfilling my passion for meaningful impact both personally and professionally.
