About the Boston Climate Action Network
The Boston Climate Action Network (BCAN) organizes residents to advocate for climate justice policy in local and state government. Established in 2000, we have achieved major legislative and electoral victories, including the passage of the Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure Ordinance (BERDO), Community Choice Electricity, and the Gas Leaks Ordinance.
We know climate change affects everyone, but not everyone is starting from the same place. Those with the least economic, social, and political power are hit first and worst. Our campaigns always seek to undo this harm through a just transition.
